Accessibility Statement
Locke Insurance Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. This page is maintained by Locke Insurance Inc. and reflects our current practices; it is not an independent certification.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some content may not yet fully conform; where gaps exist, we are actively working to remediate them.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) on every page.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, menus, and forms with visible focus indicators.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA against the site's white background and navy accents.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images marked as such.
- Form fields associated with visible labels and error messages announced to assistive tech.
- Reduced-motion support that disables non-essential animations for users who prefer it.
- Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Auto-generated English closed captions on training videos.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain:
- Auto-generated video captions may contain transcription errors; corrected captions are added as they are reviewed.
- Some third-party carrier and enrollment portals we link to (carrier logins, PlanEnroll, licensing) are outside our control and may not meet the same standards.
- PDF documents in the training library are provided as supplied by carriers; accessible alternatives are available on request.
Assistive technology compatibility
The site is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) paired with common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) on desktop and mobile.
